A Baraboo father who pushed a school superintendent during his daughter’s graduation claims it was due to personal issues with the man.
Matthew Eddy has been charged with disorderly conduct after jumping on stage during the Baraboo graduation ceremony on May 31st and preventing Superintendent Rainey Briggs from shaking his daughter’s hand.
Eddy told police he acted because of “past issues with Rainey.”
The incident has prompted a Madison group, Blacks for Political and Social Action of Dane County, to raise concerns since Briggs is Black and Eddy is white.
