A Sheboygan County man has been convicted in a child sexual assault case.
30-year-old Roman Alexander DeTroye was found guilty due to a No Contest plea on a charge of Repeated Sexual Assault of the Same Child, while a charge of Exposing a Child to Harmful Material has been dismissed but read into the record.
DeTroye was arrested last July, and had his bail set at $50,000 cash.
He was also ordered to have no contact with the residence of the, at the time, 15-year-old victim nor the Culvers in Plymouth.
DeTroye, an Oostburg resident, entered his plea on May 30th, which included a recommended 1 to 6 years incarceration, 10 years of extended supervision, and a lifetime on the sex offender registry by the state.
DeTroye is due for a restitution hearing on July 25th at 8:45 am.
