The latest addition to the River Point District in Manitowoc is now open.
Mayor Justin Nickels took to Facebook to share photos of the freshly completed public kayak launch and boat dock along the Manitowoc River.
The site can be seen from the 10th Street bridge, and includes the dock, and a freshly paved stretch of sidewalk, which has stairs and a ramp for those with mobility issues.
This is the newest addition to Manitowoc’s downtown expansion project on the former CN Peninsula.
It sits right across the from the River North Apartment complex, which was the first major project in the area since the City purchased the land from Canadian National Railways in 2016.
