Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul has filed charges against three individuals involved in the 2020 Trump elector case.
Attorneys Jim Troupis and Kenneth Chesebro, along with former Trump aide Michael Roman, are accused of fraud for their roles in planning a slate of Trump electors in anticipation of a potential judicial overturn of Wisconsin’s election results.
Kaul has not charged any of the individuals who signed on as Trump electors and did not comment on the possibility of additional charges.
Governor Evers responded to the charges with a single word, “Good,” while Wisconsin Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson criticized Kaul, arguing that he is attempting to criminalize legal advice.
