A Two Rivers housing project is getting another different contract for development.
The Two Rivers City Council unanimously approved a new amendment drafted by City Attorney Jack Bruce and City Manager Greg Buckley for the Confluence.
In a memo from Buckley, he says it was apparent that the requested changes resulted in changes to certain other areas of the original agreement like the timing for new tax increments being delayed by a year.
Project Manager Kip Golden has asked the council a few times to extend the project’s start date, which has caused some frustration with some council members.
The amendment for the Confluence will now require the final project plan to be done by July 31st with construction to start on September 15th.
However, the developer will have to incorporate a $30,000 payment to the city and consideration for the extension the city is granting.
