
It was a rollercoaster of a game for the Kiel Raiders, but in the end, they were eliminated in the WIAA Division 2 Baseball Sectional Semifinal round by Xavier of Appleton 3-2.
The Hawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 2nd inning, but the Raiders would strike back two innings later.
They plated a pair of runs, one off the bat of Junior Benjamin Kienbaum, to take a 2-1 lead, which they would hold for just one inning.
The Hawks would tie it in the 5th inning and would get a walk off run in the 7th.
Keinbaum ended the day a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate, including a pair of doubles, and scored once himself.
Eyan Dessellier had a good day on the mound, pitching five innings, allowing just two hits and as many runs, while striking out seven batters.
Sophomore Aaron Stephany came on in relief and gave up the winning run.
The Raiders season came to an end with a record of 22-5, and a perfect 14-0 on EWC play, earning them the conference title.
