Milwaukee Public Schools’ superintendent Keith Posley has resigned following an eight-hour school board meeting.
During the meeting, numerous parents and advocates sought explanations from Posley regarding his proposed budget, which included nearly 300 job cuts, and missing state reports that could potentially cost MPS millions of dollars.
The school board met behind closed doors until nearly 2:00 a.m.
Posley announced his resignation after the meeting, though the details of his departure agreement have not yet been disclosed.
