
The Two Rivers Police Department had to call in County a SWAT vehicle to aid in a situation Friday evening (May 31st).
According to Lieutenant Nicholas Spurney, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1700 block of 22nd Street to conduct a check on a 38-year-old man known to have outstanding warrants.
The man, whose name has not yet been released, was said to be armed and had barricaded himself inside the home by the time police arrived.
While negotiations were conducted, the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office was called to supply their armored Bearcat vehicle.
The suspect eventually surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.
It is not clear what charges the man will be facing at this time.
