
The Manitowoc Lutheran track and field team had thirteen athletes competing in the WIAA State Meet over the weekend.
Day one saw Elizabeth Blauert snag a 4th place finish in the long jump, with a leap of 17’2”, while the boys’ 4×800 meter team broke the school record again.
The team of Jacob Kanzenbach, Joey Ungemach, Ryder Vogt, and Braden Revak ran their race in a time of 8:28.34 seconds, which was good for 10th place.
Then on day two, Gabe Stuebs closed out his junior year with a 4th place finish in the 400-meter dash, a quarter of a second behind the 3rd place runner and just over two seconds behind the winner from Rosholt.
Lastly, the girl’s 4×400 relay team of Stevie Brunner, Lilly Mehlhorn, Ava Stuebs, and Addison Korte broke the school record twice, with their 4:06.86 second finish in the finals good for 8th place.
