There is only one meeting on the calendar for today (June 3rd) in the City of Manitowoc.
The Personnel Committee will be in the Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m., where they will give the public time to comment.
They will then discuss a couple of proposed changes to the employee policy manual, specifically related to the Drug and Alcohol Policy to make it match federal policies and to the Training, Membership, and Tuition Reimbursement Policy.
The proposal would change the longevity requirements for employee eligibility from 12 months to 90 days and add consideration of reimbursement of professional certifications and licenses related to employee’s current or future positions subject to Department Head approval and availability of annual funds.
The group will also enter a closed session to discuss a firefighter grievance and an extension request for a transit employee’s unpaid leave of absence.
