This weekend is the annual Free Fishing Weekend, hosted by the Wisconsin DNR.
Anglers of all ages are invited to hit their local lakes, rivers, and streams and cast a line, even if they don’t have a fishing license.
The DNR says that all fishing regulations still remain in effect, including seasons, bag limits, and length limits.
You can familiarize yourself with the hook and line and trout fishing regulations on the DNR website.
Those who give fishing a try and want to get a license can also do that on the DNR website.
The DNR hosts two free fishing weekends a year, with the next scheduled for January 18th and 19th of 2025.
