The Mishicot baseball team held off a late rally attempt by conference rival Manitowoc Lutheran and picked up a 3-1 WIAA Regional Semifinal win in front of a home crowd.
Nolan Sand pitched six and two-thirds innings of near-flawless baseball, but in the 7th inning, he floundered a bit, giving the Lancers one run, but Will Garceau came to the rescue.
He came on to secure the final out and secured the Indians a spot in the Regional Championship round.
Manitowoc Lutheran did not supply statistics, but their pitching staff held Mishicot to just 3 hits on the day.
The big difference came in the walk column, as Sand and Garceau combined to walk two batters, while the Lancers gave a free base to eight.

The Indians don’t know who they will face just yet, as the game between #4 Brillion and #5 Algoma was rained out last night.
They will be playing today at 4:30 p.m.
