An annual event for the New Holstein Fire Department could look different this year.
An announcement yesterday (May 28th) from the department says on May 15th, they were notified by Spectrum Carnival that they will no longer be able to provide rides for their upcoming annual Fireman’s Picnic.
Chairman Brad Woelfel, Co-Chair Eugene Thede, and Fire Chief Craig Carey say they are working diligently to find alternatives for rides and/or entertainment for families who wish to bring kids, but with the late notice, they are finding it extremely difficult to find a ride company that’s available during the time of the picnic.
They continue saying they will continue to look for entertainment for the younger picnic goers up until the date of the event in July.
