The Chamber of Manitowoc County recognized a fairly new business on Manitowoc’s north side.
A ribbon-cutting was held at Badger State Polishing and Coatings last week (May 24th).
The business is run by Brandon and Thana Frank who do metal polishing and ceramic coating on different vehicles.
Ceramic coating is a coating added to the outside of vehicles to protect against external paint damage.
The Franks tell Seehafer News that a lot of their work is done on semis.
Their business is also unique because it doesn’t have set hours.
“We work you know around truck drivers’ schedules,” Thanya explained. “We are very flexible that way.”
Brandon says he started polishing and coating his friend’s vehicles part-time before the business became what it is today.
The Franks pride themselves on being family-owned and client-focused.
“All of our customers are like family,” she says. “We take pride in our work, and we always want our clients and everybody happy.”
Their family is also focused on their son Logan, who is diagnosed with epilepsy.
Thana and Brandon have created a unique one for everyone to show their support since he already has enough toys.
“We would like you to donate to the epilepsy foundation,” Brandon explains. “So that was always for his birthdays. And then now we have our ribbons out there that we were going to match dollar for dollar on that. So, put your name on a ribbon, put on the wall somewhere, and we’ll match your donation.”
The Franks lastly said that they want to make sure any vehicle they work with is perfect before it hits the open road.
The business is located on Redwood Drive, just a stone’s throw away from the Manitowoc County Recycling Center.
