The attorney for Katrina Baur is asking for more time.
Those were Ann Larson’s requests during this afternoon’s (May 28th) court hearing for the 31-year-old, who did not appear via Zoom with her attorney.
Manitowoc County District Attorney Jacalyn LeBre announced during Baur’s last hearing that she has a lot of evidence she wants to use against her if her case goes to trial, but Larson says she needs more time to look over it.
Judge Robert Dewane set a new status date for June 20th at 1:15 pm.
Baur is being held in the Manitowoc County Jail on child neglect charges not directly related to missing 3-year-old Elijah Vue.
She dropped him off to 39-year-old Jesse Vang about 8 days before Vang reported Elijah missing.
It’s now been over 3 months since the child was last seen.
Both Baur and Vang have been charged with child neglect, but Baur also faces two charges of resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
Up to $40,000 is still available for any information that leads to Elijah’s safe return or information leading to the conviction of someone in his disappearance.
