Although they lost the series, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers did get the last game of the series in extra innings against the South Bend Cubs.
A 9-8 victory in 11 innings gets the Rattlers to 28-17 on the season, second in their division.
The game started off in the 1st for Wisconsin who got one run in on a Jadher Areinamo home run and another run from Areinamo in the 3rd on a single that brought in two runners.
The Cubs bounced back in the 7th with a home run and single of their own to tie the game at 5 apiece.
A run from each team in the 10th kept the game tied at 6, but then three runs in the 11th for the Timber Rattlers finally put them on top.
Although the Cubs did have 2 extra runs in the 11th as well to make it close. The Cubs took the 6-game series 4 games to 2.
The Timber Rattlers have the day off for Memorial Day but start a new series against the Fort Wayne Tipcaps on Tuesday.
