The Mishicot Indians now know who they will face in the next round of the WIAA sectional tournament.
It took extra innings, but New Holstein prevailed over Valders 2-1. Valders has four hits, including a triple from Clair Zipperer.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best night for Vikings starting pitcher Megan Hochkammer, who took a loss after allowing 2 runs on 3 hits with 7 walks.
Valders finishes their season with a 15-9 record. New Holstein is now 18-9 on the season, as they will meet the Indians in Mishicot.
The Indians defeated Kewaunee last week to move on to the next round of sectionals.
They are still undefeated on the season with a 26-0 record.
