Work is still being done to turn the power back on for Wisconsin Public Service customers after thunderstorms rolled through northeast Wisconsin Tuesday.
The energy company says they’ve restored 43,000 customers since then. Significant damage was found while working to get the power on including broken utility poles, downed power lines and trees that fell onto electrical equipment.
WPS expects 95% of customers who lost power Tuesday will have it restored by the end of the day today as they continue working to repair power outages as quickly and safely as possible.
Customers without power can get the latest information on the Wisconsin Public Service outage map.
