Another near-flawless performance on the mound secured the Mishicot Softball team a spot in the WIAA Softball Regional Finals.
Kiran Sanford allowed just two hits while striking out 13 Brillion batters en route to a five-inning 10-0 win over the Lions.
The Indians’ bats were working overtime as well, with Sanford, Katelyn Callahan, and Kaelin Adair each pelting triples and Kasey Brouchoud going yard.
Cora Nelson also had a great day at the plate, going 2 for 2 and scoring twice, while Karsyn Krause drew a pair of walks and also scored twice. Nearly every Mishicot batter secured at least one hit as they cruised to the Regional Finals.
The #1 seeded Indians will be back in action on Thursday as they host the #5 seed, Kewaunee, which is coming off a 9-4 win over Chilton.
Also in that bracket, #3 seeded Valders picked up a win over #6 Southern Door 7-6.
They will also be playing Thursday at the #2 seed, New Holstein.
The Huskies knocked off #7 Kiel 8-0 to advance.
