
The man found guilty in a double homicide case has been sentenced.
WBAY TV reports that 49-year-old Richard Sotka was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences for the killing of Rhonda Cegelski and Paula O’Connor in January 2023.
The duo were found in Cegelski’s apartment, and Sotka was arrested in Arkansas less than 24 hours later.
When confronted, Sotka told police he “snapped” when he saw Cegelski and O’Connor together.
He was found guilty by a jury on two counts of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, each with Use of a Dangerous Weapon and one with a Domestic Abuse enhancer, along with Criminal Damage to Property, and two counts each of Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
