It will be a busy day today (May 20th) in the City of Manitowoc, as there are five meetings on tap.
Starting out the day will be the Manitowoc Public Utilities Committee, which will meet in the MPU Office at 4:00 p.m. where they will look over some upcoming projects.
Then, at 5:00 p.m., the Library Board will convene in the Board Room, where they will give the public time to comment before reviewing some budget items.
At 6:00 p.m., the Finance Committee will gather in the Council Chambers to look over the issuance of $17.8 million in sewage system revenue bonds, an agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Administration related to a homeowners program, and an adjustment request from Fire Chief Todd Blaser related to the purchase of a new tower ladder and fire engine.
Roughly half an hour later, the Committee of the Whole will take over the Chambers to discuss the residency disqualification of District 1 Alderman Brett Vanderkin.
The full Common Council will close out the day in the Chambers immediately after that meeting, where two new firefighters/paramedics will be sworn in, and Mayor Justin Nickels will give his State of the City address.
