Janesville police have announced that no foul play is suspected in the discovery of a body near County Road A yesterday.
Authorities were conducting a welfare check after finding a vehicle in the Janesville Schools Outdoor Lab parking lot shortly after 10:00 a.m.
The Janesville Police Department launched an investigation, prompting the School District of Janesville to end a field trip and transport students back to their school.
The body was found near the Ice Age Trail hiking area.
The identity and cause of death of the deceased have not yet been disclosed.
