With the recent rash of thefts of and from Hyundai and Kia vehicles around the area, including in Manitowoc, the Green Bay Police Department is teaming up with Bergstrom Hyundai of Green Bay and Dorsch Kia to try to curb the trend.
This is the second time these groups are joining forces to provide free mobile anit-theft software upgrades for these often-targeted vehicles.
This next event will be held on June 5th at The Automobile Gallery, located at 400 South Adams Street.
Technicians from each dealership will be on hand to install the upgrade, which will take around 15 to 20 minutes. Police will also be on hand to give out free steering wheel locks, courtesy of the Brown County Crime Prevention Grant Funding Board.
Pre-registration is required, and can be done online or by calling Melanie Skalmoski at (920) 448-3260 or Natalia Sidon at (920) 448-3330.
