Manitowoc County’s substance use prevention group is trying to make it safer for groups that host events or festivals.
The Healthiest Manitowoc County Substance Use Prevention Coalition is giving out free Festival Toolkits for organizations, businesses, or event committees planning large gatherings like concerts and fairs where alcohol could be served.
The kits will also provide event organizers with guidelines and essentials to help mitigate risks associated with alcohol consumption.
The kits include various wristband colors, ID scanners, posters, and a comprehensive guide on how to implement these resources effectively to have a safe and enjoyable event for all ages.
Interested organizations or event planners can get materials by picking them up and returning them to the Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center on York Street in Manitowoc.
