Fallen Milwaukee Officer Honored In Washington, D.C.

Milwaukee police officer Peter Jerving has been memorialized at the National Police Officers’ Memorial.

Jerving, who was fatally shot in the line of duty last February, was among five Wisconsin officers honored last night.

Also recognized were Cameron police officer Hunter Timothy Scheel and Chetek police officer Emily Breidenbach, killed in an April shootout, St. Croix County deputy Kaitie Leising, who died in a shootout in May, and Pepin County Sheriff’s Office officer Starre Miles, who died in a car accident in 1945.
