A Grand Chute Police Officer enroute to a fire in progress was instead sidetracked by a crash that happened right in front of them.
WBAY TV reports that the officer was on his way to a fire in the 3000 block of Green Meadow Drive when they saw a motorcycle traveling east on West College Avenue near I-41 crash into another vehicle.
The cyclist was taken to a local hospital with what were described as significant injuries, however the cause of the crash is not yet known.
The officer stated that the motorcycle rapidly picked up speed just before the crash, and the Wisconsin State Patrol is looking into the situation.
