The Salvation Army has named the next leadership team for the Manitowoc County branch.
Captain Jonathan Tamayo and Lieutenant Samanth Tamayo are taking over the helm currently held by Captain Jenny Moffit, who is being transferred to the Salvation Army College for Officers Training at the end of June.
The Tamayos have 21 years of combined experience in nonprofit work, ranging from corps community centers, community health work, mission integration, homeless shelters, youth ministry, and most recently the Adult Rehabilitation Center of Chicago.
Together they have four children: 2-year-old Lily, 4-year-old Elijah, 8-year-old Nevaeh, and 16-year-old Jaydin.
Outgoing Captain Jenny Moffit tells Seehafer News, “If you see them around, be sure to give ’em a smile and wave. They’re always up for making new friends and making our town an even better place to be.”
