Manitowoc Public School District’s superintendent can’t say enough good about the teachers in the district as they wrap up Teacher Appreciation Week.
According to the National Education Association, the National Parent Teacher Association has designated a week as Teacher Appreciation Week since 1984.
This week, the district thanked teachers during the week, celebrating other special days, including National Teacher Day and National School Nurses Day.
Feil says each teacher is a rockstar, and there’s nothing more important than a highly qualified teacher in the classroom.
On the WCUB Breakfast Club, he talked about getting the right programs for teachers, specifically reading.
“We’ve just had exponential growth this year,” he says. “Public shoutout to our teachers. It’s just really phenomenal in terms of what they’re doing and what they’ve done. So, a lot to be proud of in the Manitowoc Public School District.”
He continued by saying the district wants to continue to help everyone from wherever they are academically, but he wants to make sure high-achieving students continue to succeed as well.
