The Big East North champion Mishicot softball team picked up another dominating win yesterday, this time in Reedsville.
The Indians took down the Panthers 15-3, with Cora Stodola pitching all five innings. She allowed five hits while striking out 11 batters, while Kayla Bubolz got the start for the Panthers, allowing five hits in 2 innings while fanning one batter.
Mercedes Grimm closed out the game, allowing 10 hits while also getting one strikeout.
Offensively, the Panthers tried to mount a comeback, plating 3 runs in the 5th inning, but could not close the gap. Mishicot had five batters with two RBI a piece, namely Cora Nelson, Katelyn Callahan, Cora Stodola, Karsyn Krause, and Baylie Carrico.
The Indians scattered 15 hits on the day as they cruised to their 21st consecutive victory of the year.
With two home games left on the regular season schedule, Mishicot has secured the top spot in the Big East North.
They are back at it tonight, hosting Oostburg before taking on Random Lake Monday in the regular season finale.
With the loss, Reedsville falls to 7-10 and will host West De Pere today and Valders Saturday to close out the regular season.
