After experiencing severe drought conditions in early April, Wisconsin has seen a significant improvement, with only 20 percent of the state now affected by drought.
Thanks to abundant rainfall throughout April, 80 percent of the state has recovered from the drought.
However, parts of the northwoods and southwestern Wisconsin still remain dry, while other areas are grappling with excess water, leading to localized flooding.
The U.S. Drought Monitor warns that the outlook for the summer remains uncertain.
