During his visit to Racine, President Biden emphasized employment prospects at the Foxconn site, underscoring the development of thousands of jobs facilitated by a forthcoming Microsoft AI data center in Mount Pleasant.
Microsoft’s expanded investment, now exceeding three billion dollars, will not only encompass the data center but also involve the establishment of several training outreach hubs statewide.
The President noted that this initiative will generate 2,300 union construction jobs for building the data center and an additional 2,000 long-term positions.
Taking a dig at Foxconn and the previous administration, Biden remarked on the contrast, suggesting that while the former administration merely dug a hole, Microsoft’s investment promises tangible outcomes.
