Two people allegedly involved in an attempted homicide in Manitowoc have had major changes in their cases.
Now 60-year-old Clarence Holder pleaded not guilty last Friday to charges against him.
He’s accused of dressing like a delivery worker and pointing a gun at a victim asking for his stuff at an apartment in the 2700 block of Viebahn Street back in November.
The victim was then shot as he tried to get away from Holder, who then ran away from the scene.
The Manitowoc County DA’s Office also had charges against 62-year-old Dianne Holder, but they have since been dismissed.
A court hearing at the end of April after Judge Mark Roher found “that the amended criminal complaint does not contain sufficient facts to prove the defendant’s involvement in the case. With the facts in the amended criminal complaint, the court finds that the defendant would be classified as a bystander and not an accomplice to the crime”, the court records stated.
The case was dismissed without prejudice meaning the DA’s office could bring new charges if they find it necessary.
Clarence will be back in court in June for further proceedings.
He’s still charged with Attempted 1st-degree intentional homicide, attempted armed robbery, burglary, and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
