There were several local award winners during the 13th annual Progress Lakeshore Excellence in Economic Development Awards Breakfast yesterday.
The Economic Accelerator of the Year Award was given to Brandon Bartow of Bartow Builders for playing a key leadership role in economic development by demonstrating effective leadership in the development of programs and projects that transformed downtown Manitowoc.
Progress Lakeshore says Brandon has gone above and beyond to positively impact the well-being and growth of their surroundings.
There were also several other award winners, including The Inn of Maritime Bay getting the Corporate Investment Award for their multi-million-dollar investment into the hotel.
The Entrepreneurial Achievement Award was given to The Executive Concierge for their outstanding accomplishments.
Mike Howe Builders received the Neighborhood Development Award for their project, The Preserve at Lincoln Park, which took a former hospital site and transformed it into a vibrant single family home development.
Lastly, the city of Two Rivers took home the Community Enhancement Award for their Central Park West 365 project that modernized the park.
The event ended with comments from Executive Director Jamie Zastrow and President Eric Sitkiewitz.
