Police in Howard responded en mass to a situation linked to a mental health crisis.
The heavy police presence was reported by FOX11 to be near the 2700 block of Holly Way Tuesday night and saw SWAT, uniformed officers, and EMS teams arrive.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office confirmed an individual in the area was going through a mental health crisis and had made threats involving a weapon.
Crisis negotiators were called in to alleviate the situation, which ended peacefully. The subject was taken into custody and will be receiving mental health treatment.
