The Mishicot baseball team used a big 5th inning to secure a home victory over Reedsville 8-3 yesterday (May 6th).
The Indians held a 4-2 lead entering the 5th inning, which is when their bats came alive, adding four more runs to the scoreboard.
Ethan Gnadt had a good day on the mound, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs while adding 6 strikeouts through 5 innings of work.
Will Garceau closed out the contest with 2 hits and one strikeout.
At the plate, Daryn Smith led the way, going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI, while Brady Urbanek and Nolan Sand batted home one run apiece.
The Indians are now 10-2 overall, 6-1 in Big East North play, and sit alone atop the standings as Manitowoc Lutheran fell to St. Mary Catholic yesterday.
The Panthers, who are tied with the Lancers at 5-2 in the Big East North, are also 5-9 overall and will get a second shot at Mishicot Thursday at home.
