A lawsuit brought forth by the Friends of the Wisconsin Wolf & Wildlife against the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has been dismissed by a Dane County judge.
The lawsuit alleged that the DNR favored wolf-hunting groups in the development of the state’s wolf management plan.
However, the judge ruled that the meetings between the DNR and pro-hunting groups did not constitute official gatherings due to insufficient DNR representation.
Dismissing claims of procedural violations, the judge cited a lack of evidence supporting allegations of discrimination.
