One person was nominated to represent Manitowoc and Calumet Counties on the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin Board of Directors.
Mitch Kappelman is eligible for election to the board in District 17 with the election getting underway on May 1st.
Kappelman runs Meadow Brooks Farm in Francis Creek with 488 cows with his parents and wife helping.
When asked why he wants to serve on the board he says he wants to make America’s Dairyland great again because it has such a rich history, and he wants to help shape the future.
In District 10, which has Outagamie and Winnebago County, Daniel Hinz was nominated to be eligible for the board.
Elected producers will serve a three-year term on the board beginning in July and ending in 2027.
