A total of five local fire departments aided at the scene of a fire in Two Rivers last night (May 2nd).
According to Two Rivers Assistant Fire Chief Chad Kakes, the Two Rivers Fire Department was notified of the fire in the 2500 block of 44th Street at around 9:30 p.m.
Smoke and flames were visible on the first floor as crews arrived, and the lone occupant and their pet were already outside.
The structure and its contents sustained what was described as “major fire and smoke damage”, but no injuries were reported.
The incident caused an estimated $150,000 in damage, and the cause is still under investigation.
