A decision has been reached in an officer-involved shooting case in Green Bay.
WFRV TV reports that, after a thorough investigation, no charges will be filed against Officer Dan Skenandore in the death of Steve Ventura.
The incident occurred in the afternoon hours of February 23rd when Officer Skenandore located a vehicle believed to have been involved in a weapons violation call.
As the officer approached, Ventura fired his weapon, resulting in an exchange of gunfire.
Ventura was injured in the exchange and eventually died at the hospital.
No other injuries were reported. Officer Skenandore was wearing a body camera at the time of the shootout, as is department policy.
