Another law enforcement leader in Eastern Wisconsin is calling it a career.
WHBL reports that Sheboygan County Sheriff Cory Roeseler announced his retirement after 33 years of serving the county.
His career began in January of 1991, when Roeseler started off as a deputy with the department.
He made his way up the ladder, eventually being appointed Sherriff in 2018, and elected to the position in 2019 and 2023.
His final day on the job will be June 3rd.
Roeseler’s term is through 2026, but since he is retiring, the Sheboygan County Board is now tasked with appointing a new Sheriff until the next election.
