
The Mishicot baseball team started strong and held on to avenge their Monday loss to Manitowoc Lutheran with a 6-1 win.
The Indians plated 4 runs in the 2nd inning and added 2 more in the 3rd, and Ethan Gnadt held the Lancers to 1 run through the rest of the game.
Gnadt ended the game with 8 strikeouts while allowing four hits through his full-inning performance.
Derek Laabs had an off night on the mound for the Lancers, allowing all 6 runs on 5 hits, while Caden Stanzel was near flawless in his two innings.
He struck out two batters and only allowed one baserunner via walk.
Brady Urbanek led the Indians at the plate, going 2 for 3 while scoring a pair, while Logan Marquart was 2 for 2 and scored two runs as well.
The Indians improve to 8-2 with the win and will get some time off before hosting Reedsville next Monday.
Lutheran, whose four-game win streak was snapped with the loss, is now 8-3 and will be in Brillion Friday.
