The Bellin Gundersen Health System is now going by a new name.
An announcement from both healthcare groups says they will combine to become Emplify Health to continue to serve community healthcare needs.
CEO Scott Rathgaber says the new term comes from the word empathy, meaning feeling aware of another’s emotions, plus the word amplify, which means increase.
He continues by saying, “We are standing on the shoulders of the enduring legacies of Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System and the thousands of people who have helped grow and nurture the system brands. By unifying under one brand, we align our teams and our resources to provide the best possible care and experience for our patients and community.”
The healthcare group says it will take several years to fully migrate to Emplify Health and while clinic names are changing, the Gunderson and Bellin Health Foundations will keep their names for now.
Rathgaber also says that while the system name changes, patients will still receive their care from the same providers and staff at the same locations.
