The Manitowoc County Health Department is on a mission to Light the Way for Mental Health.
With May being Light the Way for Mental Health Month, the local health organization is giving away green lightbulbs to help raise awareness for the 8 million youth who suffer from mental illness in the U.S.
The Health Department is aiming to light up around 200 buildings around the County to help let everyone know they are not alone in their struggles and that help is available.
You can get your free green bulb during normal business hours at the Health Department building, which is located at 1028 South 9th Street in Manitowoc.
If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, you can call theĀ Manitowoc County Human Services Crisis Line at 920-683-4230 or call or text the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988.
You can also chat online at 988Lifeline.org/chat.
