A contingency of Two Rivers residents is on their way to the Cool City’s Sister City, Domazlice, Czech Republic.
The delegation is headed by Sister Cities Committee Chair Brenda Koprowski and includes five Two Rivers High School students, among others.
The group left for the Chicago O’Hare Airport Sunday, and will be in Domazlice for its Liberation Day Celebration.
The two cities are connected by Lieutenant Colonel Matt Konop, who is a Two Rivers native who helped lead the U.S. Army’s 2nd Infantry Division during the liberation of the city in May of 1945.
More information on Lt. Col. Konop and the relationship between the cities can be found on the Two Rivers City website.
