We now enter the fifth week of a major five-year expansion project on I-41 between De Pere and Appleton, and more closures and lane reductions are expected.
As work continues in the Appleton area, the DOT expects the number of lanes between County Road N and Highway 55 will be reduced in both directions all week between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
Additionally, the entire highway will be closed between Wisconsin Avenue and Richmond Street on Tuesday (April 30th) between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 4:30 a.m., with a detour taking motorists onto Highway 96/Wisconsin Ave., east to Highway 47/Richmond Street, and back onto I-41.
The same section of the southbound side will be closed Tuesday through Friday, with the detour going the opposite direction.
And, as has been the case since the outset, Capitol Drive over I-41, between North Capitol Court and Northridge Lane, will remain closed through August.
