Local sports teams will have a busy start to the week.
Starting with baseball, Manitowoc Lincoln will put its 11-1 record on the line at Green Bay Preble, while two teams on hot streaks will do battle at Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
The host Lancers are on a 3 game win streak, while Mishicot hasn’t lost a game since its opening day loss.
Elsewhere, Roncalli is hosting Sevastopol, having won four of their last five games, Reedsville will try to bounce back after a 0-2 weekend as they host Hilbert, Kohler/Sheboygan Christian is set to host Sheboygan Lutheran, Sheboygan South is at Bay Port, Sheboygan North is hosting Pulaski, Random Lake is in Oostburg, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah is at St. Mary Catholic, and Plymouth is on the road for Kewaskum.
Also, Denmark is hosting Seymour, Green Bay East/West is in New London, Green Bay Southwest is on the road for De Pere, West De Pere is hosting Xavier, Ashwaubenon is hosting a doubleheader against Notre Dame, and Appleton East is home for Oshkosh North.
On area softball diamonds, Manitowoc Lincoln will try to build on their second win of the season over the weekend as they host Notre Dame, while Manitowoc Lutheran will host Mishicot as the Indians try to improve to 15-0.
Also, Roncalli will try to end an 11 game losing streak at home against Sevastopol, Reedsville, which is 3-1 over the last four games, is home for Hilbert, Cedar Grove-Belgium is in Howards Grove, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah is at St. Mary Catholic, and Sheboygan North is at De Pere for a doubleheader.
Elsewhere, Luxemburg-Casco is in Clintonville, Little Chute is on the road for Waupaca, Green Bay Southwest is hosting Ashwaubenon, Green Bay West/East is home for Shawano, West De Pere is at Seymour, Appleton East is home for Oshkosh West, and Appleton West has a road game in Kaukauna.
In girls’ soccer, Roncalli will look to build on its second win of the season as they host Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy while Denmark defends its home pitch against Sturgeon Bay. Elsewhere, Little Chute is at Berlin (BER-lin), and Notre Dame is hosting Fox Valley Lutheran.
