The City of Manitowoc is looking to make improvements at Lincoln Park.
Mayor Justin Nickels said on Facebook that he’s been getting questions about what’s been happening with the trees that were removed from the park and some that have fallen have not.
He says a lot has happened over the last year including Ash Trees being affected by the Emerald Ash Borer to damage from high winds.
He reports that several volunteer groups will be going through the park over the next few months to help clean up.
More people will be hired as well over the summer to focus on the park.
Nickels says he agrees that Lincoln Park is one of the most beautiful parks in the city, and right now, it looks a little run down, so cleaning it up will be a priority.
He also reminds residents that firewood is available for purchase.
