The Manitowoc Lincoln baseball team was able to put their loss to De Pere behind them and came away with a 4-1 win over Notre Dame yesterday (April 22nd).
Brayden Steinbecker pitched a gem, going six and two-thirds innings, allowing the 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 10 batters.
However, the game came down to the wire, as Seth Gibeault was called upon with two outs, two on, and the tying run at the plate.
He shined in the stressful situation, striking out the final batter to secure the win.
The offense for the Ships was pretty evenly distributed, with six batters splitting the 8 hits.
Brady Hadler and Cade Grapentine each notched a pair as the Ships improve to 8-1 on the season.
Up next for Manitowoc Lincoln is their fifth home game in a row, with Sheboygan North coming to town Thursday.
