A Green Bay man accused of a Christmas Day crash in Manitowoc County has had his bond increased.
38-year-old Phillip Slezewski was back in Judge Robert Dewane’s courtroom last Tuesday, where his bond was amended because of a failure to furnish his original $300,000 cash bail.
His bail was reduced to $10,000 cash in January but a recently amended commitment for failure to furnish bail now sets it at $50,000 cash.
Slezewski was the alleged driver when his SUV hit another SUV on Christmas Day, causing both to lose control and hit a guardrail.
His passengers, a 38-year-old and a 71-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.
A slew of new charges have been added to his file, including two counts of homicide by a vehicle while under the use of a controlled substance and homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
He’s still charged with two counts of knowingly operating a vehicle with a suspended license causing death and great bodily harm, possession of THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
His next court date is a status conference set for Tuesday, April 30th, at 1:15 pm.
