Students from all over Manitowoc County were at the Courthouse last week for the American Legion’s annual Youth Government Day.
This event aims to teach young people the importance of their county government and possibly inspire them to explore careers in government and public service.
Students from Manitowoc Lincoln, Mishicot, Roncalli, Two Rivers, Valders, and Kiel High Schools were all in attendance, while representatives from Legion Post 88 – Manitowoc, Post 165 – Two Rivers, Post 199 – Reedsville, Post 477 – St Nazianz, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 477, and Auxiliary Unit 165 were also on hand.
Representative Paul Tittl also spoke to the teens about mental health and gave each student a Good Citizen Citation.
